FCC certifies Samsung's next big smartphone

FCC certifies Samsung's next big smartphone

The Galaxy Note lineup has never come cheap, but the Galaxy Note 8 could become the most expensive smartphone in the company's portfolio.

There is no word on the release date yet although the abovementioned site expects the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active to turn up before the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launches on August 23.

Since the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is expected to be a sturdier version of the standard model, it will come with IP68 rating, which means it can survive a dip in shallow water for as long as half an hour.

"Bezel-less smartphones are not just about new designs but about technology development", an industry watcher said. Today, the Galaxy Note 8 certified by FCC.

The Dangers of the Senate Health Care Vote
President Donald Trump has declined to guarantee payments, and has floated the idea of letting the law fail. Senate failed in an early morning vote to approve a slimmed down effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

As Samsung hasn't officially said anything about the camera appearing in the Note 8 we can't be sure about this for the time being, but we've heard similar rumors before, and it does now look likely that the Note 8 is going to be rocking Samsung's best smartphone camera yet.

The teaser image also hints at the phablet's design, heavily implying that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a almost bezel-less look and a screen that wraps around the long edges of its case, in addition to having minimal top and bottom bezels. According to the documentation, it is clearly written that the phone will be available for pre order from August 25th.

According to the data compiled by Strategy Analytics, phablets with screen sizes larger than 6 inches are set to take up 4.3 percent of the global smartphone market for 2017, rising sharply from 2.3 percent posted previous year. As the date of launch is getting near, many leaks are being proved right and many are wrong. This has been accidentally confirmed by Samsung on their Samsung Electro Mechanics website. The phone has 64GB of storage space which is more than enough for most users but you do have the option to expand it with micro SD card. You can expand the memory of this phone upto 256GB, however there is no any confirmation on this. The phone would also offer a traditional S-pen along with the device. The date could have been a typo or, maybe, the folks at Samsung Australia wanted to send us tech writers into a tizzy over a line of text. The company has already sent media invites for an "Unpacked' launch event to be held in New York City on August 23 and based on the past leaks, we already have a fair idea about the specifications and features of the upcoming phablet".
