Warrant Issued For Dallas Cowboys Receiver Lucky Whitehead in Virginia

Warrant Issued For Dallas Cowboys Receiver Lucky Whitehead in Virginia

He is the third Cowboys player to be arrested since the end of last season.

Dallas Cowboys' Lucky Whitehead is back in the news, this time for a shoplifting charge leading to a warrant for his arrest, according to TMZ.

Garrett says the club is figuring out the scope of the situation before making any decisions.

The Dallas Cowboys' off-the-field issues continued on Monday, as TMZ Sports reported that a warrant had been issued for the arrest of wide receiver Lucky Whitehead.

Sensex, Nifty overcome flat trend to end positively
Shares of RIL jumped over 2% to touch Rs 1,564 per share while Wipro was trading higher by 6.7%, at Rs 287.05 per share. Shares of ICICI Bank (up 0.22%) recouped in the late afternoon and ended in green while Axis Bank closed 0.02% lower.

With the Cowboys finding out at training camp, they will evaluate the appropriate course of action.

Whitehead has said he didn't even know about the warrant, for whatever that's worth. That's because he had no idea the court date was ever scheduled.

Whitehead has had an unusual offseason, saying last week that a dognapper was demanding ransom for his dog before the dog was returned a day later. The Dallas Police Department suspended its investigation of the alleged assault, citing a lack of witnesses and an inability to contact the victim.

Whitehead's legal trouble is just the most recent - or at least the latest to come to light - for the Cowboys in recent months. The team is also still awaiting word on the outcome of the NFL's investigation into domestic violence allegations against Ezekiel Elliott past year.
