Galaxy Note 4 battery recall isn't what you think

Galaxy Note 4 battery recall isn't what you think

While the Korean tech giant has been working to put that fiasco behind it, the Galaxy Note 4 is now experiencing a similar problem. However, do make a note that this recall is not as serious as the last one and in fact, it has been reported that the company is not even at fault here.

The end of previous year was marred by the recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 due to battery issues, and now the Galaxy Note 4 has found itself in the lime light for a similar, but far less explosive, reason.

According to the new report which we have, it looks like over 10,000 refurbished Galaxy Note 4 batteries are being recalled.

Meanwhile, an official launch date has yet to be announced by Samsung, previous reports have indicated the device will release on the 15th of September.

Maria Sharapova WILL play at US Open as Russian star given wildcard
Her last appearance at Flushing Meadows saw her lose to eventual runner-up Caroline Wozniacki in 2014. She is now in the main draw for her first Grand Slam in the 2017 season, according to the report.

FedEx will be mailing out a new battery identified with a green dot to users who got a replacement Note 4 as part of an AT&T insurance program between last December and this past April.

When it comes to the company's Galaxy Note line, it seems that Samsung just can't catch a break. FedEx and Samsung have determined that some of the recalled batteries are counterfeit and show anomalies that can lead the batteries to overheat.

"The batteries are non-OEM, which means they were not supplied as original equipment by the phone's manufacturer, Samsung". FedEx Supply Chain says it will directly contact customers. Over a million phones were recalled with more than 90 confirmed incidents of batteries either overheating, exploding, or catching fire. Luckily for Note 4 owners, this phone came from the era of removable batteries, so all you need to do is swap in the new one. The high quality technology that dual cameras use, particularly for the Galaxy Note 8, have never been used before in previous smartphone cameras. The refurbishment program was managed by them and it was independent of Samsung.
