Get More: Calusa Nature Center on upcoming solar eclipse

Library Director Maria Moss has arranged for Amy Barraclough, the director of the Edleman Planetarium at Rowan University, to discuss the science of astronomy and the solar eclipse in advance of the event starting 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18.

The program is for all ages and promises to provide valuable information about the eclipse, what to expect and how to safely view the event. The event will feature educational activities, entertainment, hands-on science activities, outdoor obstacle courses and food trucks. This includes the newest exhibit, "Chasing Eclipses".
