Sending money from your PayPal balance or US debit card is free of charge.

It was way back in 2007, in fact - back when eBay still operated Skype (before its 2011 acquisition by Microsoft) and PayPal (before its 2015 spinoff).

Skype today announced a new partnership with PayPal which powers the Send Money feature that it has developed.

Send Money is supported in the U.S. Canada, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain, according to the two companies.
