WR John Franklin III has left the Auburn football program

Franklin is transferring from Auburn and is expected to enroll at Florida Atlantic, Lauren Shute of SEC Country reports.

Big sports news down on the plains.

Since Franklin graduated from Auburn, he is eligible to play immediately after transferring to another school rather than sitting out one year.

Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn released the following statement on Tuesday: "John Franklin came to me expressing his desire for the chance to play more and get closer to home".

Malzahn said, "John has been an outstanding young man during his time here and leaves auburn with a degree". Last season, he actually totaled more rushing yards than he did passing yards, as he only attempted 26 passes. He also ran the ball 46 times for 430 yards and looked to be a hybrid back/receiver for the 2017 season. Converted quarterback to wide receiver John Franklin III is transferring from Auburn for his graduate season.

At this point, it's unclear where Franklin will transfer to, but Lane Kiffin's FAU program is being posed as a possible destination.

TSX rallies shortly after open as North Korea tensions ease
The euro zone's version is at its highest since April, when France's election was rattling the region. The Korean story has seen the yen gain around 1.5 percent this week, its biggest rise since mid-May.

John Franklin III-the star of the Netflix series Last Chance U-announced he will transfer from the Auburn football team to FAU.

In short, Franklin has moved around a lot during his college career.

Outside those three players, there is another former EMCC product in Kiffin's program, only he's a coach.

Last week, the Owls welcomed defensive end Kaib Daub (former Florida State Seminole) and defensive tackle Jeremiah Taleni (Pittsburgh graduate transfer) to their roster.

Following much anticipation, Franklin struggled to earn playing time under Malzahn and former offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee. "I think I've proven that when I have it good things will come up from it".
