Gurugram: Ryan International School student found dead inside toilet

Gurugram: Soon after the shocking news of a 7-year-old child being murdered in the toilet of Gurugram's Ryan International School this morning was announced, hundreds of other anxious parents immediately rushed to pick up their children and barged into the school building.

Last year, a six-year-old student was found dead in a water tank under the Ryan International School's amphitheater. The knife was also been discovered beside the body.

Varun Thakur, father of victim, said "It is a clear case of murder, don't know what happened but I am sure its murder".

Paras Kumar and Deepa Rawat, whose children study at Ryan International School, decried how unsafe this school was.

Earlier, seven persons were detained for questioning, including Class IV staff like the sweeper, gardener, bus driver and conductor, the police said.

The Gurugram police reached the school soon after being informed about the crime.

Anju Dudeja a teacher at the school, said, "First we took the child to the hospital, the nurse said that we should give first aid first instead of taking him directly to the Artemis hospital". Less than 30 minutes later, his body was found lying in a pool of blood inside the school's toilet by another student.

Staff members and classmates of Thakur, who hailed from the Bhondsi area, are being questioned, he said. The doctor explained that the child died due to complications of thermal burn injuries but there was no CCTV footage of the incident.

The incident comes days after mysterious death of a 10-year-old boy at GD Goenka School, Ghaziabad.

It has now been said that parents are protesting outside the school. He was rushed to a private hospital but he was declared brought dead.
