Samsung's Foldable Phone Could Be Closer Than We Think

There is no shortage of rumors about a foldable Samsung smartphone. Tech site, LetsGoDigital is now adding to the sightings of the elusive bendable Samsung phone with an official certification from South Korea. However, it is rumored that the smartphone will be called the Samsung Galaxy X aka the foldable smartphone post its launch. It would make sense for Samsung not to launch the Galaxy X in the same time- frame as its other flagship smartphones.

According to the latest news a secretive Samsung smartphone known as model number SM-G888N0, has been certified by Bluetooth SIG, a certification body for Bluetooth devices.

With all these recent developments, we can definitely expect the bendable display smartphone by Samsung to be rolled out soon, though we cannot actually say how soon we may get it in hands. It is still busy collecting certifications – from the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth authorities and now one from South Koreas equivalent to the FCC. Some reports claimed that the Galaxy X will be launched in a limited special edition fashion to generate some interest among the consumers.

Although, in 2014, Samsung did release a truly cringe-worthy video about a flexible phone and tablet concept. Given the fact that this could become the iPhone X's most serious opponent in the market, Samsung probably won't hold out too long before launching it. But Nokia had unveiled its first Android smartphones at the CES earlier this year, so there is always a possibility of Samsung unveiling the Galaxy X at the CES. Keeping up with its tradition of innovating in the display department, Samsung showcased a foldable display smartphone back in 2013 and announced its desire to make the phone a commercial product. The bendable or foldable smartphone comes with the name Samsung Galaxy X. Also, Samsung Galaxy X will come out in the next year. However, they are now facing some hardware issues with the manufacturing of the bendable OLED technology that might push the launch even further.
