Amazon's Alexa comes to Moto Mods accessories

The Moto Mod smart speaker will be available for purchase via both Amazon and Motorola websites in the USA, the United Kingdom, and Germany starting from November.

If you've been waiting patiently for the Moto Mod Speaker with Amazon Alexa to go on sale, Motorola today revealed that the accessory will be launched some time next month at locations where the Amazon Echo is sold, priced at $149.99.

Just like the other Moto Mods, it snaps onto the back of the handset, and once it's in place, it essentially turns any compatible device such as the Moto Z2 Force into an Echo device. You still get the same Snapdragon 630 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 3,000mAh battery, and dual 12MP/8MP rear cameras. The diffrence here is that there's no cutout for the camera and there's a blue LED light.

In addition to the dedicated speaker, there are also four mics to pick up your voice even in a noisy environment, an excellent feature compared to using the phone's microphones.

The Moto X4 features hands-free access to Amazon Alexa.

Punjab: Congress wins Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat
Congress led UPA has won all four Loksabha bypolls in 2017 includes seats of Amritsar, Srinagar, Malappuram and now Gurdaspur. Aam Aadmi Party had fielded Major General Suresh Kumar Khajuria (retd) as candidate for Gurdaspur Lok Sabha byelection.

One notable design cue here is the dock in which it can double as a charging stand. Motorola says this is just the thing for nightstands. The Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa will sell for $149.99 in the USA starting in November.

The only drawback to this mod is the price, as it comes with a costly price tag of $150 when it ships in November to countries that support Alexa. And with a 15-hour built-in battery, you won't kill your phone if you're constantly asking questions.

The largest downside to the latest Moto Mod is price.
