Chester Bennington's Carpool Karaoke has been released

Late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington features in a newly-released video of him singing on the Carpool Karaoke show before his death in July this year.

"In memory of Chester Bennington: March 20, 2017 - July 20, 2017".

The video kicks off with Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn along with actor Ken Jeong in a auto getting ready to embark on their musical ride.

"I forgot the words, I'm having so much fun!"

At one point, Bennington tells Jeong, "this is probably the greatest day of my life".

The family of the heavy metal superstar gave their blessing to release the footage onto the band's Facebook page, where it surfaced on Thursday.

Bennington had joined Linkin Park in 1999 and the band released their latest album, "One More Light" in May. Whether his kids wished to become musicians or not, he wanted them to follow their passions in life, he said. The episode was filmed a week before Bennington's death. So they want to learn how to play instruments.

They also preform a number of covers, like Outkast's Hey Ya, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Under The Bridge, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing. Because Lilly is really curious, asking 'Daddy how do you write songs?

Bennington's bandmates from Linkin Park will host a benefit in his memory October 27 at Hollywood Bowl in California.

Chester Bennington, former lead singer of Linkin Park, passed away this summer after committing suicide.
