'Glee' Star Mark Salling Pleads Guilty to Child Pornography Charges

In a plea agreement filed with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Tuesday, Salling, 35, has agreed to plead guilty to one federal count of possession of child pornography stemming from an indictment filed past year.

Glee star Mark Salling is facing four to seven years behind bars after agreeing to plead guilty to charges arising from his possession of child pornography, according to a Tuesday court filing. Upon sentencing, he will also pay $50,000 to each victim who has requested it.

Police found thousands of images and hundreds of videos depicting child pornography with children as young as three years old on Salling's computer and other devices. Salling and prosecutors agreed the appropriate sentence should be 4 to 7 years in prison. with 20 years of supervised release.

Salling has also agreed to register as a sex offender permanently and a lifetime of supervision if and when he's released from federal custody.

He had initially pleaded not guilty in June 2016 to two counts receiving and possessing child pornography. He was eventually caught after he showed the images to a woman he was in a relationship with, who reported the actor to authorities.

In December 2015 Mark Salling's home was raided and searched and his laptop was seized.

The news comes nearly a year to the day after a rape rap against Salling was tossed, because a woman accusing him waited too long to report the alleged sex attack.
