Men Arrested After Shooting at Richard Spencer's University of Florida Speech

Universities in OH and Pennsylvania are facing legal pressure to accommodate white nationalist Richard Spencer following his speaking engagement this week at the University of Florida, his first on-campus appearance since participating in the deadly "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Padgett, a Georgia State University student, has sought to secure venues for Spencer to speak on several campuses on behalf of the National Policy Institute white nationalist think tank.

Detectives said Tenbrink "willfully and willingly fired a deadly weapon" with the "intent to kill", according to his arrest report.

Tenbrink fired one shot toward the crowd, luckily missing the people and hitting a building instead. They have been charged with attempted murder. The three then allegedly got back into their Jeep and fled. The protester was able to provide the license plate number to police, and officers put out an attempt to locate bulletin on the vehicle.

The three suspects then exited the vehicle and began yelling death threats.

Trump offered $25000 to fallen soldier's father, but didn't follow through
Bush and President Barack Obama honored military service and implicitly criticized Trump for politicizing military deaths. In response to Trump's claim, retired army General Martin Dempsey tweeted that both President George W.

The L.A. Times reported that Tenbrink was ordered to be held in lieu of a $3 million bond and the Fears brothers were held in lieu of $1 million bond each. He is also being charged as a felon in possession of a firearm, police said.

After officers read Tenbrink his Miranda rights, he admitted he was the shooter.

Before Thursday shooting, the three men said that they were "pushing back" against the left and exercising their right to free speech. We want to show our teeth a little bit because, you know, we're not to be taken lightly'.

UF President W. Kent Fuchs has denounced Spencer, but as a public university the school is required to rent space to speakers regardless of their message. Fears told NBC that Spencer's speech will "normalize the idea for white people to have an identity, to advocate for their own interests and to advocate for our own existence".

That meant a state of emergency being declared in Gainesville by Gov. Rick Scott, the influx of more than 1,000 law enforcement officers to watch over almost 2,500 demonstrators and a virtual suspension of normal campus life - not to mention the outsize attention Spencer craves.
