Trump Ally Roger Stone Suspended From Twitter

Trump Ally Roger Stone Suspended From Twitter

Stone's rant followed CNN's report that criminal charges had been filed in Mueller's investigation into whether or not Russian Federation swayed the 2016 election into Trump's favor.

Stone's account was suspended on Saturday following a Friday night rant targeting CNN and network personalities including Don Lemon and Jake Tapper.

"@jaketapper must be held accountable for his lies and very severely punished #Fakenewsasswipe", Stone wrote in one tweet. Despite parting ways with the Trump campaign in August 2015-Trump says he fired Stone for hogging the media spotlight; Stone says he quit because Trump attacked Megyn Kelly-Stone has remained one of Trump's most loyal true believers. "You fake news you dumb piece of shit", Stone wrote [sic], according to The Hollywood Reporter, one of the first outlets to report on the ban.

He told BuzzFeed: "I have been informed that I have been suspended for 3 hours and 12 minutes".

Winx wins 22nd straight race, taking the Cox Plate 2017
Winx began to improve her position from the 900m and had the lead on the turn with Humidor the only horse giving chase. And she didn't disappoint, out-classing all opposition in the race.

The move came after Stone lashed out at several CNN reporters and called them derogatory slurs.

This led Stone to lose his mind on Twitter. By any measure, though, several of Stone's tweets violated Twitter's standards of conduct, which bar "hateful conduct", "harassment" and messages that promote violence. "I have retained one of the best telecommunications lawyers in the country and will be bringing a legal action against Twitter over the suspension of my account", Stone reportedly told TheWrap. That language runs afoul of Twitter's anti-harassment policy, which states that users can not "incite or engage in the targeted abuse or harassment of others". In 2017, his work over the years was profiled in a Netflix original documentary called Get Me Roger Stone.

But don't expect Stone to hand over his right to tweet without a fight. Like other social media sites, its critics say, the company has struggled to strike the right balance between allowing free speech and tamping down harassment and hate speech. "This is just part and parcel of the tech left's effort to silence conservative voices".
