Dish Network and CBS end their three-day-old programming fee fight

Dish Network and CBS end their three-day-old programming fee fight

Put the turkey baster down and pick up the phone, because it's time to call up some local businesses.

Dish Network customers can return to watching CBS programs after the companies reached a new multi-year carriage agreement.

The companies' dispute had spurred fears that local subscribers would be unable to watch Boise State face off against Fresno State Saturday.

CBS, the most-watched broadcast network, ran into contractual issues with Dish Network when it insisted that its smaller channels like Smithsonian, Pop and CBS Sports Network be bundled with the Big 4 net.

The two sides were fighting over the fees CBS wanted from Dish for retransmission.

He's a technical player but at the same time very fast, very strong, very good one v one and a very good finisher. Maybe because of the manager, because of the players, I don't know.

Dish and CBS reached an agreement late Thursday that restored the channels dropped earlier in the week in standoff over how much Dish will pay CBS for the right to carry its programming.

"Dish customers will continue to get CBS' must-have content, while we are also able to achieve our short and long-term economic and strategic goals", he added.

Dish Network yanked CBS and affiliated content this past Tuesday.

A dispute erupted between CBS and DISH Network over the price of carriage. "That's 17 times what it was just a decade ago".

"We are grateful to our customers for their patience this holiday week as months of work has resulted in a deal that delivers CBS for years to come". So, it's safe to assume that if you are a Dish subscriber, your Thanksgiving with be light on CBS.
