George HW Bush said to have called Trump a 'blowhard'

Former President George H.W. Bush has openly criticized President Donald Trump, calling him a "blowhard" in a new book, CNN reported.

This is the first time we get to see what influenced the two former presidents, how they feel about each other's presidencies, the US's role in the world, the Republican party, as well as their true feelings about Donald Trump.

Updegrove said the title of the book came from a conversation he had with the junior Bush in which he said, "I'm anxious that I will be the last Republican president". After Carter said Trump was being given a hard time by the media, the latter thanked him by tweeting his thanks for the "nice remarks ..." But, in fact, George W. Bush had had a lifetime of making bold decisions.

"I voted "None of the Above" for president, and Republican down ballot in 2016", he said of choosing not to support Trump.

Wisdom of the Crowd , in which Piven portrays a tech genius trying to hunt down his daughter's killer, premiered on October 1. Unless there were so many of us, that you can't remember, ' Freeman wrote.

But "this is all different with Donald Trump", said presidential historian Douglas Brinkley. "Trump represents the outsider, and the Bush family are quintessential insiders". The book earned its title from comments George W. Bush made during the last 2016, when he said he fears that he will be the last GOP president. "How can George W. Bush resurrect his post-presidency career when the sitting president is telling everyone every day how bad he is?"

"I voted "None of the Above" for president", the younger Bush told the author, according to his book.

The elder Bush went on to say that he believed Trump was motivated by "a certain ego" that would ultimately be damaging to the Republican party and the country".

In a statement, Trump's press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders did not repeat the White House's direct attacks on the Bush legacies from earlier in the day.
