Will a TV incarnation of Agent 47's ice-cold assassination adventures hold yours?

Hitman centres on Agent 47, a nameless assassin who initially works for the secretive International Contract Agency (ICA), taking assassination requests for high-end clients. The whole appeal of the Hitman games is each level is a wicked little puzzle box where the prize is figuring out how to pull off the flawless murder, and that's been hard to translate to the movies. It seems like something that would have potential to work as a TV program, and now we'll get to see if that happens. Seeing as he will pen the pilot, Kolstad's experience writing assassins will certainly be an asset in regards to adapting the franchise. Kolstad wrote both John Wick and John Wick Chapter 3, and is attached as the writer for the third entry in the series as well. The games, however, tell a different tale. Io Interactive has already confirmed it's working on a new Hitman game, but recently said it doesn't plan to start talking about the project until sometime next year. It was followed by a reboot in 2015, which received negative reviews. Agent 47 was portrayed by Timothy Olyphant and Rupert Friend respectively.
