Marc Gasol' relationship with David Fizdale has major part in firing

James and Dwyane Wade led the charge Monday on questioning the Grizzlies' firing of head coach David Fizdale, a popular assistant coach who won two National Basketball Association championships with James, Wade and the Heat in 2012 and 2013.

"Sometimes when you take a risk, you may [upset] a player or two", Fizdale said.

"I don't know if there's anything to be said", is how Gasol phrased it, after the game.

"Obviously, you get frustrated, and I did, and mad and start wondering", said Gasol, who even while sitting out the fourth quarter tied Tyreke Evans for the team lead with 18 points. "Owners, general managers, coaches, players, and handling that is a strain on relationships, and it's disappointing".

Fizdale has recorded a 50-51 mark since being named the 13th head coach in franchise history on May 29, 2016.

He also said in 2011 Cardinal Tree Farm planted more trees with the thought of this lower supply coming on. He brought his family out to select the flawless tree early. "This is what we do", Patterson said.

The Grizzlies have put in the actions, but the results might take a while to come, as Memphis is still without one of their key cogs in point guard Mike Conley, who's proven a pivotal absence for a team that started 7-4 and now finds itself out of the playoff berth at 7-12. Fizdale was fined $30,000 by the National Basketball Association for a rant over officiating after a loss in Game 2.

The 43-year-old coach was coming off his eighth straight loss Sunday.

Fizdale had also been fighting an uphill battle with point guard Mike Conley out since November 13 with an Achilles injury and veterans Tony Allen and Zach Randolph no longer on the team this season.

Fizdale is bound to find another opportunity in the National Basketball Association, but after becoming the second coach to be fired this National Basketball Association season, it might take some time for openings to become available. Bickerstaff went 37-34 in that role.
