New Netflix email scam targets subscriber credit card numbers

A Netflix email scam has targeted millions of subscribers worldwide.

If you are one of the nearly 110 million Netflix subscribers around the world, you should pay very close attention to an email "from" Netflix in which the video-streaming giant purports to need you to validate your billing information.

So if you see an email in your inbox that looks anything like the below, be sure to get on to Netflix and confirm it's really from them. According to a report from Deadline, scammers are firing off emails with the subject line "Your suspension notification" to masses of people.

If you suspect an email or text message is not from Netflix, do not reply to it. Follow the steps below to forward it to us. More importantly, it contains a link, in which, when clicked, takes the anxious subscribers to a fake Netflix webpage that requires them to input their log-in details, as well as their credit card number. Subscribers are then asked to enter their billing information.
