Panthers edge arch-rival Falcons, 20-17

The Atlanta Falcons were supposed to be one of the best offenses in the League yet again this season but have looked to be anything but. Through the second quarter of Sunday's game, Palardy had a ball downed inside the opposing 10-yard line three times in two weeks.

Atlanta has also struggled to find consistency, but in their comeback win over the New York Jets in Week 8, it seemed as if they found something to work with in the passing game.

Jones' bobble magnified another implosion for the Falcons in a 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers drove in and scored another touchdown, this one on Newton's 52nd career rushing touchdown. This time, the run play went to the right but ended with the same result as the defense stopped Devonta Freeman.

For most of the first half of the Panthers' first game since trading Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina's offense didn't amount to much.

Two plays later, safety Mike Adams picked off Ryan and his 40-yard return put the Panthers at the Atlanta 31 with 1:15 before halftime.

In the first half alone, Newton shouldered almost the entirety of Carolina's rushing offense with 74 yards and a touchdown to Carolina's 119 net rushing yards.

As reported, the Russian President's working visit will end by a private talk with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. President Donald Trump has lambasted the deal and refused to confirm whether his government will comply with it.

Atlanta nearly made a game of it late, cutting the Carolina lead to 20-17 late in the fourth quarter.

Julius Peppers leads the team with 7.5 sacks.

Defensive end Wes Horton pursued and hit Ryan, whose receivers were all covered downfield.

Early in the fourth quarter, things are not going so great for the Atlanta Falcons.

But on fourth down and seven Ryan uncorked a ideal pass to a wide-open Jones, who bobbled it in the end zone and dropped it - essentially sealing the game in Carolina's favor. With AP Photos.Cam Newton ran for 86 yards and a touchdown and the Carolina Panthers stormed back from an early 10-point deficit and then held on to beat the Atlanta Falcons 20-17.
