Trump and Time magazine dispute Person of the Year plans

Taking to Twitter the United States president posted,"Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named "Man (Person) of the Year", like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot".

In a Saturday (NZT) tweet Trump says the magazine informed him he was "probably" going to be granted the title for the second year in a row.

"Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named "Man (Person) of the Year", like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot". He says he told the magazine that "probably" isn't good enough, and he would pass on the opportunity.

The best Trump tweets spawn joking imitations and the US President's tweet about Time magazine's Person of the Year did just that.

Conservative commentator and frequent Trump critic Bill Kristol also alluded to the investigation, tweeting that he didn't know who 2017's Time Person of the Year would be, but he hoped Mueller would get the honour in 2018. Quoting Trump's tweet Stengel, Stengel asserted,"They just wanted a photo shoot".

Mr. Trump frequently brags about his cover appearances in the iconic magazine.

Jurgen Klopp Shares His Theory On Why Mohamed Salah Flopped At Chelsea
He's a technical player but at the same time very fast, very strong, very good one v one and a very good finisher. Maybe because of the manager, because of the players, I don't know.

"Bbc just called to say I was PROBABLY going to be named sports personality of the year but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot", tennis star Andy Murray tweeted. He wrote, "It's too bad though because Time Magazine is really hot!"

In a tweet late Friday as he spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Florida, Trump sounded dismissive of the honor he received previous year and could well receive again.

And Oscar victor Patricia Arquette wrote in response to Trump's tweet that he could just print himself "another fake cover".

Donald Trump has criticised TIME magazine in the past. In 2015, the publication chose Angela Merkel and in 2014 it was Ebola fighters.

In past years, Trump has publicly derided out the magazine for not being selected. "You should run Time!".
