Giants suspend Eli Apple for 2017 finale

The New York Giants have grown exhausted of Eli Apple's shtick and officially put an end to the cornerback's season on Wednesday.

Bob Wischusen was filling in Tuesday and asked Collins about how he would self scout the year and what went wrong with the guys at corner. "That would be the only person I would change out of our secondary". They play hard; they love what they do. "But that first pick, I don't think... he's a cancer".

Apple's mother, Annie, underwent brain surgery in November.

Collins was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Collins appeared to double down on his comments earlier on Wednesday when ESPN's Josina Anderson reported on SportsCenter that Collins told her Apple had "checked out".

Following practice, the team announced that Apple had been suspended for the final week of the regular season, making him the third cornerback to be suspended this season joining Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Janoris Jenkins, who each served one-game bans.

The Giants (2-13) have had a disastrous season, which resulted in the sacking of former head coach Ben McAdoo after week 13.

Ralph Peters: 'Nikki Haley May End Up as Our First Female President'
And this vote will be remembered", Haley said, declaring that the US will put its embassy in Jerusalem regardless of the vote. It is one more example of the United Nations doing more harm than good in addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Giants host the Washington Redskins (7-8) on Sunday in their season finale.

Apple denied that any such conversation occurred. Apple was inactive for four consecutive games from November 19 to December 10.

Then when someone tweeted at him asking why he wasn't playing, Apple responded by saying, "I'm too healthy".

National Football League players usually stand behind their teammates.

It's been a significant drop-off for Apple from an impressive rookie year on a playoff team.

It's been a bad one all around for the Giants, and the Apple situation has been the most glaring example of just how bad it's been during one of the worst seasons Big Blue has ever had.
