Face The Nation's John Dickerson Named Co-Host Of CBS This Morning

Dickerson, who anchors CBS News's Sunday morning show Face the Nation and serves as the network's chief Washington correspondent, will relocate to NY and join CBS This Morning co-hosts Norah O'Donnell‬ and Gayle King‬‬ on the show this Wednesday.

Rose was sacked by CBS and PBS back in November after being accused by several women of sexual harassment.

Dickerson, 49, will join "This Morning" female co-hosts Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell.

Dickerson has anchored FACE THE NATION since June 7, 2015, as it generated some of its largest audience levels of the past three decades. That sets him apart from ABC "Good Morning America" host George Stephanopoulos, who continues to host ABC's "This Week" on Sundays.

Trump's behavior at the College Football Playoff Championship raised some questions
Critics took glee in pointing out how Trump had railed against football players failing to respect the national anthem. He placed his right hand over his heart and mouthed the words while Zac Brown Band sang " The Star-Spangled Banner ".

Dickerson will transition from the FACE THE NATION anchor chair in the coming weeks as CBS News prepares to name his successor.

Rhodes continued to praise King and O'Donnell's leadership on CBS This Morning and believed that the trio would continue to deliver CBS' brand of excellent journalism to the audience every day on the morning news program.

Dickerson begins anchoring tomorrow, January 10, 2018, and will be based in NY. Hill was later replaced by Norah O'Donnell, and now Dickerson will replace Rose, making King the only original host. Months after Rose's departure from the network, CBS News also fired former political director Steve Chaggaris from the network. But NBC moved more quickly naming his replacement, decided not go go with another male co-host and opting instead for Hoda Kotb, who is very familiar to, and well liked by Today show viewers.

Dickerson also joins veteran broadcaster Christiane Amanpour in the elusive Charlie Rose replacement club.
