Falcons Grab Early Lead After Costly Rams Mistake

Falcons Grab Early Lead After Costly Rams Mistake

Heightening the drama is the 8:15 p.m. (NBC) primetime start.

The Falcons are seeking a different kind of history. Los Angeles went 21 years without pro football before the Rams returned last season, and the franchise emphatically ended a 13-year streak of non-winning seasons this fall with an inspiring run to the Rams' first division title since 2003.

Saturday night's clash at the LA Coliseum is expected to be the tie of the round.

It's been an inconsistent season for the Falcons.

The Rams' 70-year-old defensive coordinator in the National Football League postseason for the 20th time after putting together yet another solid defense in his first season with a new team.

The Rams already had a solid defense last season under coordinator Gregg Williams.

The defending NFC champion Falcons (10-6) reported no significant injuries. But the question of which team shows up for the playoffs lingers. But they're going against a Rams' offense led by a creative young head coach, Sean McVay, who calls plays for the NFL's high-scoring unit (29.9 points) and ranked 10th in total offense (361.5).

McVay engineered the turnaround with a quarterback in Jared Goff whom some were writing off a year ago, and with running back Todd Gurley, who has always had undeniable talent but had a disappointing season in 2016. There hasn't been a significant drop in several categories from 2016, but they're far worse in the red zone. This Falcons team went to the Super Bowl previous year while the Rams are in uncharted waters.

There are also smaller, local battery replacement shops nearly everywhere, but we can't vouch for their quality. Apple has reduced the price of all the out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacements.

Not only did McVay change the culture in Los Angeles, the Rams also made effective roster changes.

What makes him believe that?

Everything we just said looks like the Rams should win. Regardless of how either team gets it done, they both have two of the best backfields in the league. Until I see how they handle it, give me the team that's been there before. "I try to focus or worry or lend my brain space to trying to win games". He finished with just one-half of a sack and one hit, but even on the plays where he didn't take Ryan down, his presence was felt. But the team was a terrible 1-for-5 in the red zone.

Atlanta put points on the board for a second-straight trip down the field, getting a 54-yard field goal from Matt Bryant - his fourth of the game. It's great for the Falcons.

This good news for the Falcons is that while the NFC playoff field is solid, there are no dominant teams.

But the Panthers' success overwhelmingly comes down to their dual-threat quarterback, as we saw in last weekend's three-interception performance against the Falcons.

It's been almost 13 years since the Rams have last played in playoff football game, but that doesn't mean this Los Angeles squad doesn't have what it takes to get the job done. Only six Rams players have ever been in postseason games.

"It was actually my first year [in Atlanta], so I remember him really well", Quinn said.
