In their separate messages on this day, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have said the dream of peace and prosperity in the region will remain elusive without resolving decades-old Kashmir dispute. About 207 million Pakistanis supported their Kashmiri brethren in their struggle. "The Pakistani government wanted to stop me from raising the Kashmir issue", Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Saeed said while speaking at the Nazria Pakistan Trust here.

While expressing solidarity with people of Kashmir, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said independence is the destination of Kashmir and it will arrive soon.

The development budget for the PaK had been doubled.

Adding further, he said development will elude Tripura until the BJP is voted to power."I can tell you there would be no development until the BJP comes to power".

He reiterated that the government of Pakistan and its people would continue their political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kahmiri people struggling for their right to self-determination.

He also paid tribute to the separatists in India-held Kashmir and lauded their "bravery".

The prime minister said there might be differences among the political leaders but on the Kashmir issue, all the leadership was united and there were no two opinions.

PM Abbasi said that there has been no interference by the federal government in the previous assembly elections of Kashmir.
