National Basketball Association expresses shock and sadness at death of longtime agent Dan Fegan

Dan Fegan, a longtime National Basketball Association agent, was killed in a auto accident Sunday (Feb. 25.) Fegan was driving an SUV when it was struck by a bus on Highway 82, according to the Aspen Times.

The Colorado State Police said that Fegan tried to merge his SUV onto a highway before a commuter bus hit him, according to multiple reports.

A 29-year-old woman from California and Fegan's 5-year-old son were in the SUV at the time of the collision.

He was attempting to cross or merge on to the highway when his SUV was broadsided by the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority bus, the Colorado State Patrol said.

Fegan, 56, had represented players including Dwight Howard, John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Nene and Ricky Rubio.
