Wendy Williams cries on TV return

Williams also spoke to "Good Morning America" ahead of her return, explaining she hadn't taken a sick day in almost 10 years and that she had missed three doctor's appointments with her endocrinologist leading up to the fainting.

Wendy Williams suffered a horrific health scare in Halloween 2017 when she collapsed on stage during a live show!

Williams assured the audience that she had had "a very productive three weeks off. If you have one you don't necessarily have to have the other, but I have both, and I was diagnosed with both 19 years ago", she adds. I was just feeling like 'All right, well I'm 53 and this is I guess how it's supposed to be, ' " she added. According to WebMD, Graves' disease is the leading cause of hyperthyroidism; a condition in which the thyroid produces excessive hormones.

"It was a ideal storm; a flawless storm that had been brewing, I have to say, internally, knowing my body, since late July", Williams told Amy Robach during the interview. I'm not doing that anymore. Her previous treatment involved undergoing a procedure during which she drank radioactive iodine to strip her thyroid of its overactivity, then took a thyroid pill each day for 19 years, she said.

Williams, 53, now says she had missed three appointments with her endocrinologist prior to the fainting spell, but she's "functioning OK".

Wendy told her viewers: "Go to the doctor, get that checked out".
