Priyanka Vadra gets shoved at Rahul Gandhi's midnight march

Congress workers tried to come near Rahul Gandhi, giving hard time to the Special Protection Group (SPG) men protecting him. The party said the PM's "Beti Bachao, Beti Padao" slogan had become "Beti ko BJP se bachao (save daughters from BJP)".

Referring to National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) report for 2016, he said Madhya Pradesh had the highest number of rape cases followed by U.P. and Maharashtra.

The Congress chief Rahul Gandhi headed a midnight candlelight march at India Gate to protest against the sexual violence against the women. The government should ensure that the women of India feel safe.

"We are very very thankful that the Prime Minister has spoken at least.even if he has done it after three months, after weeks of Unnao, even if he has spoken at the demand and insistence of the opposition parties like us", said Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

Gandhi led a midnight march to India Gate yesterday to protest the Kathua and Unnao minor rape cases and said it was time for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to walk the talk on "beti bachao" (save the girl child).

Study raises concerns about long-term impacts of alcohol
The findings were roughly the same for both men and women, suggesting recommended levels for both sexes should be the same. About half the participants reported drinking more than 100g per week, and 8.4% drank more than 350g per week.

The Congress was trying to stage a protest the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Jammu's Kathua district.

Azad said the Modi government was sleeping and those facing the biggest threat were the daughters of the country during the current regime. "Zakir Hussain was the main culprit with two [other] culprits", Lekhi said as she accused the media of not playing up the BJP's comments on the Kathua and Unnao rape cases. The child was held captive inside a temple, tortured and killed allegedly because the accused wanted to scare away the nomadic Muslim Bakarwal community.

In Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, a teen alleged that she was raped by ruling BJP legislator Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who was detained for questioning early today.

She was sedated and repeatedly raped before her head was smashed and her body thrown in the forests next to Rasana village. Fighting for justice without success, the rape survivor attempted suicide in front of the residence of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, bringing her incident into the spotlight. Hundreds of Hindu lawyers have also protested that the men, two of them police officers, are innocent.
