Rafa Benitez reacts to speculation linking Steven Gerrard with Rangers

Rangers chairman Dave King was spotted at Anfield on Tuesday as Liverpool swept aside Roma 5-2 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final - a match where Gerrard was working as a television pundit.

Gerrard has spent the past 18 months as a youth development coach with boyhood club Liverpool, but multiple reports in the United Kingdom have indicated that the former Reds captain is the number one target of Scottish side Rangers.

Asked if Gerrard could end up as Liverpool boss, the 58-year-old said: "Yes, maybe".

Celtic could clinch the title on Sunday when they face Rangers, live on Sky Sports.

Steven Gerrard is being linked with a move to Glasgow Rangers, so could he bring one of Liverpool's brightest prospects to Ibrox?

Club legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher had high expectations of anyone who pulled on the famous red jersey and they wasted no time in putting newbies to the test. I don't know the situation at the moment. "We will support him whatever he wants to do", said Klopp.

This processor would work as a brain of the headset and the headset would be controlled by the built-in processor itself. While Cook has expressed skepticism around clunky, enclosed headsets, Apple has many long-standing patents in this area.

Fast forward to 2018, and the former Liverpool captain is now one of the frontrunners lead Rangers' and the Scottish club have already held talks with his representatives.

"I think he has enough people around him who can give advice bit I don't have a problem talking to him and telling him about my experiences", he added.

"So I think when you go into any job, and in particular at the big clubs, there is always that expectancy".

"To try and stop that in your first job...he has got the attributes to probably be a top manager one day but he needs the backing from the board".

The former Swansea boss noted Graeme Murty, who now occupies the Ibrox hot-seat but whose hopes of getting it past the end of the season probably ended with the recent 4-0 William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final defeat by Celtic at Hampden Park.
