Supporting magazine paid $30000 to doorman over rumour he fathered love child

Supporting magazine paid $30000 to doorman over rumour he fathered love child

Dino Sajudin is the biggest name in news today after the New Yorker reported that in 2015, he sold a story for $30,000 in which he made the claim that Trump may have fathered a child with a former employee in the 1980s.

Common Cause filed complaints Thursday with the U.S. Justice Department and Federal Election Commission against Trump, his presidential campaign and AMI, claiming the Sajudin payment was an improper contribution to Trump's presidential campaign. McDougal's story was also not published. For one, the doorman told a similar story regarding a Trump Tower resident, which turned out to be false.

The Associated Press confirmed the details of the Enquirer's payment through a review of a confidential contract and interviews with dozens of current and former employees of the Enquirer and its parent company, American Media Inc. The deal included a $1 million penalty should Sajudin tell his story to anyone else without A.M.I. permission. George said that Pecker protected Trump.

"Sajudin is one fish that swam away", Howard told RadarOnline, an Enquirer sister publication, on Wednesday.

But four longtime workers at the publication claim they were ordered to back-off the story before following-up potentially promising leads.

"We released Sajudin from the exclusivity clause that had accompanied his $30,000 payment, freeing him to tell his story to whomever he wanted", Howard said.

During AP's reporting, AMI threatened legal action over reporters' efforts to interview current and former employees and hired the NY law firm Boies Schiller Flexner, which challenged the accuracy of the AP's reporting.

Benfatto said Sajudin never mentioned anything to her about a possible Trump love child. Trump was still dealing with the fallout of adult film star Stormy Daniels claim of a sexual tryst with the future president in 2006 and the $130,000 Trump's attorney paid to her in October 2016. The American people that elected Trump have not shown they're bothered by matters of morality. The AP has not been able to determine if the rumour is true and is not naming the woman. The Enquirer never ran that story - a move known as "catch and kill" in the media industry.

"National Enquirer" owner and close friend of Donald Trump, David Pecker. It acknowledged discussing the former doorman's tip with Trump's representatives, which it described as "standard operating procedure in stories of this nature". Daniels had signed a non-disclosure agreement but has since sued to claim the agreement was void because Trump had not signed it.

The company has said it paid McDougal, the former Playboy Playmate, to be a columnist for an AMI-published fitness magazine, not to stay silent.

"The behavior is so extreme and so weird", she said. The Trump Organization denied the story, and both the mother and daughter in question declined to comment.

Now. I'll leave it up to lawyers and campaign finance experts as to whether any agreements have not been fully met or whether any of these payoffs amount to an in-kind contribution to Trump's campaign.

Still, A.M.I. paid Sajudin tens of thousands of dollars in exchange for silence, in a manner that mirrors McDougal's experience. After a promise of $500, Sajudin took the polygraph test, and the administrator revealed that all his responses were truthful.

Sajudin, in a brief interview with The News outside his home in the Poconos, said he was struggling to deal with the sudden attention.
