Weekend weather may make way for Mother's Day activities

Another round develops near I-80 later this evening and will track to the east overnight. Rain chances return in West Michigan toward mid-week. Ahead of the front, it'll stay on the warm and humid side with highs in the 80s to near 90°. Friday will feature dry weather with increasing clouds and breezy conditions.

And Monday will be mostly cloudy but warmer, with highs near 70. By Sunday evening and overnight we could increase the threat for some showers and thunderstorms to build across portions of our region. Highs this week will stay in the 70s, which is seasonal for mid-May.
