George Clooney hospitalized following accident in Italy

USA actor George Clooney has been released from an Italian hospital after being involved in a motor accident Tuesday. Clooney, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from his scooter and flew 20 feet in the air.

Clooney was driving a motor scooter to work on Tuesday morning when he collided with a Mercedes making a sudden left turn.

George Clooney was reportedly involved in a vehicle accident on Monday.

Thankfully, none of the injuries were deemed serious, and the actor has since been discharged from hospita.

Clooney is a Northern Kentucky native.

A spokesman for the actor told the Press Association: "George Clooney was treated and released from an Olbia hospital". The car's driver assisted George after the crash and reportedly called an ambulance, according to NBC. He has already been released from the hospital at this time.

George was riding at Costa Corallina on his way to a film set and was traveling along a motorway when the crash happened.

The couple had previously been enjoying their European trip alongside George's parents Nina and Nick Clooney, as well as Amal's mother Baria Alamuddin.

Clooney will star in and co-direct the limited series, which began filming in May.

Clooney, 57, plays U.S. Air Force commander Scheisskopf in the World War II drama based on Joseph Heller's classic novel, according to the BBC.
