Everton complete triple deadline day signings as Bernard joins Barcelona duo

Everton have signed Colombian defender Yerry Mina for a reported figure of about €30.25 million.

As the 25-year-old finalised his move to Merseyside, Everton also sealed the captures of Barcelona duo Mina and Gomes on Thursday afternoon.

Everton signed Richarlison from Watford last month, with the Toffees paying an initial £35m for the Brazilian, although the deal could eventually reach £50m.

Yerry Mina has vowed to seize "a great opportunity" after becoming the standout signing on a frantic transfer deadline day for Everton.

Mina, 23, only joined Barca six months ago from Palmeiras, but coach Ernesto Valverde has not been convinced by him and the club have made a decision to take advantage of his increased value following an impressive World Cup.

'I know about Everton's players and I look forward to being able to play with my new team. I have spoken a lot to the coach and I know his passion for Everton and determination to be successful.

Chelsea have been linked with Martial all summer, but United have shown no willingness to let him go, especially to a fellow Premier League side.

Everton will open their 2018-19 Premier League campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.

His season-long loan will cost the English club 2.25 million euros, Barca said in a statement.

The fee could rise by 1.5 million euros and Barcelona have inserted a buy-back clause in the player's contract.

Mina's stock soared during Colombia's run in the World Cup in which he was responsible for three goals, allowing Barcelona to make over three times what they paid.
