Sarri aims for long-term future at Chelsea

Sarri aims for long-term future at Chelsea

Chelsea Winger Pedro has signed the new 1-year contract extension which runs till 2020.

Despite not making a flurry of signings under Sarri, Chelsea fans are optimistic that the coming season will be a fruitful one as their new coach has promised to bring back attractive football to Stamford Bridge.

"Apart from the tactical point of view, I think it's very hard for everybody to play against City".

"I am not interested in the agent", Sarri said.

The forward has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Barcelona, but Sarri said he was not concerned that his delayed arrival had anything to do with engineering a move away.

"First of all I'm happy that a manager of that level is in the Premier League".

"If in every position you have very good players it's hard for the coach".

Ohio State Releases Statement On Urban Meyer Investigation
Separately, a court hearing for Zach Smith was postponed Thursday on a domestic protection order sought by his ex-wife. The extension also increased Meyer's salary to $7.6m for 2018, an $800,000 raise over what he was scheduled to earn.

"I spoke yesterday with him about him being late, not his future", Sarri told a news conference on Friday.

Chelsea will face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday but the Belgian duo will not participate in the clash.

The 29-year-old struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the first team at Chelsea FC last season as the Blues finished fifth in the Premier League under Antonio Conte.

"We know that they are a very good team, but we will try to play our game. Sometimes we press in the right way, sometimes no", he said.

"He has to improve on the defensive phase, I think". "I feel good after three days of training, of course I am not my best performance, my best condition". I think it is very important to start with a trophy.

Courtois is due to return to Chelsea training this weekend after helping Belgium finish third at the World Cup and being voted the best goalkeeper at Russian Federation 2018.

Director Marina Granovskaia was also elated, adding, "We are very happy to secure Pedro's services for another year".
