Trump says US market would 'crash'

"I think it's inevitable that he won't" be impeached, Giuliani said. "You would see - you would see numbers that you wouldn't believe in reverse".

President Donald Trump said "everybody would be very poor" and questioned how he could be impeached when he's made strides improving economic conditions in an interview aired Thursday.

Trump told Fox News in an interview Wednesday that he knew about the two payments only "later on", without specifying when.

Currently Republicans control the House of Representative and have yet to show any sign that they are even considering impeachment as an option, but many political analysts believe that Democrats will win back the House in November, equating to an nearly certain impeachment.

When asked about the possibility of being impeached, the president dismissed what the Constitution says about the issue and said the only criteria for impeachment should be whether he's doing his job well or not.

Under US election rules, any payments made with the aim of influencing a vote must be reported. If Mr Trump were to be prosecuted over the money - not through the normal courts, because he is the sitting president, but conceivably in Congress, through an impeachment process - investigators would have to prove that he had indeed given the money to Cohen for electoral reasons.

The Journal said Pecker shared details with prosecutors about payments Cohen says Trump directed to buy the silence of two women alleging affairs with him.

Ramsey Admits He Doesn't Know What Is Happening With Arsenal Contract
Ramsey wore the captain's armband for the fixture and it is believed Emery may name him as one of Arsenal's captains this term. The thinking is for continuous hard preparation.

But Cohen's testimony, coupled with the conviction of Trump's former campaign chairman on eight financial charges Tuesday, has increased the prospects that Democrats would seek to oust the president should they take the House - where impeachment proceedings must begin.

Trump then said the hush payments were financed with his own money - to which Cohen had access - and that while he had no knowledge of them at the time, he had since been fully transparent.

In entering a guilty plea, Cohen said the payments were made "in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office", in clear reference to Trump.

"In fact, I watched a number of [TV] shows".

That tool "almost ought to be outlawed".

Michael Cohen used to serve as Trump's personal lawyer, but has recently found himself in a whirlwind of legal battles. "The high crimes are giving aid and classified information to our enemies (Russia), abusing the pardon, breaking campaign finance laws, working w/ Russians to get 'dirt" on political opponents, and coming soon from Special Counsel Mueller, obstruction of justice". Both claim to have had affairs with Trump.
