Chelsea fans made an exciting observation about Mateo Kovacic in Bournemouth win

Maurizio Sarri's men continued their ideal start to the Premier League season by beating Bournemouth 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and following the global break they will play host to Neil Warnock's Cardiff.

Chelsea FC hosts AFC Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Sept. 1, in the fourth week of English Premier League play.

The 27-year-old had more playing opportunities under Conte, only after he was converted to a right wing-back, but is behind Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro in Sarri's pecking order of wingers in the new season.

'Alonso, at the moment, this position at left-back is maybe the best in Europe, ' said Sarri.

"We needed more movement without the ball, but I think we did well". He's doing very well in the offensive phase.

'If he improves that, he could be the best left-back in the world'.

"It was a good chance for Callum and Nathan's one is a big moment in the game because you are trying to take the lead and make it hard for Chelsea".

The McCain funeral will take place in Annapolis, but the exact date is not reported. Tributes from around the country and the world are pouring in for Sen.

Chelsea assumed early control with close to 85 per cent of the possession in the first 20 minutes, but a half-chance for Alvaro Morata that was blocked by Asmir Begovic was the best they could muster.

"I think that now, for us, it's better to think about the next match", he said, before offering perspective by pointing out exactly how far Chelsea had finished behind champions Manchester City last season.

There's no two ways about it, Kovacic means business at Chelsea. "I think he needs to improve from the tactical point of view, nothing else".

The Spain striker won fewer than half his 16 duels and touched the ball only 11 times before being taken off for Giroud, who played a role in helping Pedro score Chelsea's first.

Speaking to the BBC after the game, Maurizio Sarri reflected: "I'm really very happy with my players".

Sarri acted by introducing both Olivier Giroud and Pedro, and it took less than 10 minutes for the pair to combine to give Chelsea what was a deserved advantage.
