Suge Knight Takes Plea Deal, Gets 28 Year Sentence

An altercation occurred outside the Tam's Burgers Compton restaurant, and Knight ran over two men with his truck.

The gangsta rap mogul entered his no contest plea in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday.

The incident occurred in January 2015. He took the plea deal days before his trial was scheduled to begin.

Suge Knight has accepted a plea deal for 28-years after pleading no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the murder of Terry Carter, according to TMZ. While leaving the set, Knight hit Sloan and ran over Carter.

Last year, Knight was indicted on charges of "threatening death or bodily injury" against Staight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray. Court officials had said that no witness list would be released ahead of the trial, and that some witnesses might not be identified by name during the case.

Civilians who refused to go back under regime rule were also bussed there, almost doubling the province's population. Putin said the demilitarized zone would be enforced by patrols of Turkish forces and Russian military police.

Knight has reportedly been experiencing health issues in recent years and told the judge he expects to die in prison.

Knight, 53, is expected to be sentenced to 28 years in prison on October 4 for the 2015 hit-and-run death of Terry Carter.

Knight, who co-founded Death Row Records along with hip-hop music king Dr Dre in the early 1990s, had been facing up to life in prison in the case.

He was sentenced in February 1997 to prison for violating terms of that probation by taking part in a fight at a Las Vegas hotel hours before Shakur was fatally wounded in a drive-by attack as he rode in Knight's vehicle just east of the Las Vegas Strip.

Suge Knight was facing life in prison if convicted for the murder, but after having some time to think about the mountain of legal troubles he found himself in, he made a decision to give up fighting.
