Elon Musk's SpaceX gets nod to launch 12000 broadband satellites

The Federal Communications Commission today gave the go-ahead for SpaceX to operate a constellation of more than 7,500 broadband access satellites in very low Earth orbit - and also gave the go-ahead for other satellite constellations chasing similar markets.

Starlink is aiming to provide internet access anywhere on the globe via an array of low earth orbit satellites deployed at altitudes ranging from 715 to 823 miles. Our approach to these applications reflects this commission's fundamental approach to encourage the private sector to invest.

Such reuse is key to SpaceX's effort to slash the cost of spaceflight, a breakthrough that could help humanity achieve ambitious exploration feats such as the settlement of Mars, company founder and CEO Elon Musk has said. The project would cost Dollars 10 billion to develop, and SpaceX aims a fully operational constellation by the mid-2020s.

SpaceX launched two prototype satellites in February, one month before the company gained FCC approval for its initial constellation of 4,425 satellites in Ku- and Ka-band frequencies.

The FCC's March 2018 approval of SpaceX's first batch of satellites required SpaceX to launch 50 percent of the 4,425 satellites by March 2024 and all of them by March 2027. So far, the Hawthorne company has launched only two demonstration satellites, and SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell said this year that the company still had "much to do with this complex undertaking". However, the FCC turned down the request, citing that SpaceX has not provided sufficient grounds for the final implementation milestone requirement to be waived. "It is a problem that's getting magnified in low Earth orbit by the proliferation" of small satellites.

Deepika Padukone And Ranveer Singh Release Marriage Pictures
As per reports, Ranveer and Deepika will hold two lavish receptions, one in Mumbai and the second in Deepika's hometown Bengaluru. On November 10, Ranveer's stylist Nitasha Gaurav posted teasers of the pre-wedding rituals on Twitter .

The proposed systems that the companies want to build out use non-geostationary satellite orbit (NGSO) satellites and are expected to enable fixed-satellite service in the US. Within five years of their launch into orbit, NASA estimated that nearly all of the Starlink satellites will need to be taken out of commission or they risk dramatically increasing in-space collisions.

SpaceX will expose above 7,000 new Internet-beaming Satellites.

"I'm excited to see what services these proposed constellations have to offer", said FCC Chairman Ajit Pai in an email statement. If the SpaceX is able to launch all the proposed satellites to space, the number will increase six-fold. The company already has permission to launch 4425 Satellite.

Starlink's novelty has inspired the Pentagon, too, which seeks to pioneer a generation of cheap, disposable, lightweight satellites through its Blackjack program, spearheaded by the Defense Department's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Sputnik reported.

When satellites run out of fuel, they can no longer maintain their precise orbit, rendering them useless even if their hardware is still intact.
