Cavaliers ship George Hill to Bucks, get Dellavedova back

The Washington Wizards will join the trade between the Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire Sam Dekker for Jason Smith and a future second round pick. As part of the trade, Cleveland is also receiving Milwaukee's own 2021 first round pick and 2021 second round pick as well as a 2022 second round pick from the Washington Wizards.

Two reports indicated National Basketball Association forward Sam Dekker was being traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Wojnarowski also highlighted why Cleveland and Milwaukee wanted to get this deal done relating to the relevant players potentially being moved again near the trade deadline.

According to Wojnarowski, though, the "first may not convey until as late as 2023 because the Bucks owe a future first to the Phoenix Suns that might not convey until 2021". Cleveland recently traded sharpshooter Kyle Korver to Utah for two picks in 2020 and 2021. He averaged 3.7 points in 12 games this season. Head coach Scott Brooks is also using power forward Markieff Morris frequently in the "5" role.

It's a win-win situation for all three teams as the Bucks look to solidify themselves as an elite team in the Eastern Conference, the Cavs continue to rebuild and the Wizards add the 3-point threat that they've lacked all season.

Henson, 27, averaged 5.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 14 games for the Bucks this season. He has been out most of this season with a wrist injury.
