Ubisoft Reveals First Look at Far Cry New Dawn

Announced at The Game Awards 2018, it brings players back to Hope County, Montana years after Far Cry 5's nuke-filled fiery conclusion where you have to contend with a new enemy faction of pirates known as the Highwaymen. And no, that isn't a typo.

Yesterday, following some leaks, Ubisoft unveiled Far Cry New Dawn to the world, a spin-off Far Cry game that takes place after the events of Far Cry 5. Based on the artwork, expect New Dawn to be set in Montana.

Xbox Portugal notes that Bloody Palace will be made available as a free update for Devil May Cry 5 in April 2019.

With a nuke triggered at the end of Far Cry 5, unsurprisingly, Hope County and the rest of the world isn't exactly in the best of shape. The Far Cry: New Dawn map might ostensibly be the same, but there's certain to be plenty of post-apocalyptic surprises to uncover. Lashing rain and whipping wind gives way to the "Super Bloom" that enlivens the world with bright, lovely flowers. A brand new trailer can be seen below. Visiting Nero's partner Nico, you'll be able to outfit yourself with new Devil Breakers, each with their own attributes.

What's New in "New Dawn"?

During the almost three-minute reveal trailer tonight, we get a look at the new characters, known as "The Twins", who've learned to survive in this post-apocalyptic world "by any means necessary". After all, Ubisoft has pulled this move before with Far Cry Primal. The box art depicts two young women holding weapons and tormenting a shirtless man tied to a wrecked auto.

Regarding the plot, the player will again have to face Joseph sid, the main antagonist of the fifth part. Judging from the Far Cry series history of featuring the villain on the cover, it looks like the player will face off against the two ladies seen here.
