Sooners quarterback, A's prospect Kyler Murray declares for National Football League draft

He agreed to a signing bonus worth more than $4.6 million.

He is projected to be a high first-round pick in the NFL Draft, in spite of his diminutive frame. Oakland A's position players report to spring training on February 18, so the A's have until then to try to win over Murray.

After saying Murray won't be able to play both sports because of the demands of the quarterback position, the man known as Prime Time, who was a star in the National Football League and MLB, went on to explain why the young phenom should play baseball exclusively.

For Oklahoma's baseball squad, Murray batted.296 with 10 home runs and 47 runs batted in with 13 doubles and 28 walks. The star QB is technically already a member of the Oakland Athletics of the Major League Baseball, but it seems as though the player would rather play football right now. Representatives from the A's, including general manager Billy Beane, met with Murray on Sunday night to discuss Murray's baseball future.
