Cardi B Deactivates Instagram After Posting Video Defending Her GRAMMY Win

Another big female victor was Cardi B. The 26-year-old Instagram personality-turned-pop superstar became the first woman to win the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

Cardi B has quit instagram following the backlash against her Grammy win. "Didn't went to sleep in my bed sometimes for four days straight - pregnant!" she explained, noting that the pregnancy affected her voice at times. Seeing Cardi b win a Grammy make me feel like I won.

Posting videos that saw her wax poetic on everything from cheating lovers to the qualities of the pancake chain restaurant IHOP, Cardi snagged a spot on the reality series "Love & Hip Hop", further amplifying her image.

Cardi admitted she was nervous, joking when she took the stage, "The nerves are so bad".

"I remember past year when I didn't win for "Bodak Yellow" and everybody was like, 'Cardi got snubbed, '" she explained. After Miller's ex Ariana Grande shared her frustration with the "Self Care" rapper's loss, Cardi took to her Instagram story to share the album with the late rapper, who passed away in September 2018 from an overdose. The "Bodak Yellow" artist deactivated her Instagram account after people criticized her for receiving the Grammy (via People). "Now this year's a f--ing problem?!" Hopefully, Cardi or a member of her team was able to snag the necklace from the Grammys stage floor after her performance. Number 1 album as well.
