Rich the Kid Robbed and Attacked at Studio

On Tuesday afternoon Rich the Kid and his entourage were the victims of an armed robbery at Westlake Recording Studio, TMZ reports. Rich the Kid was reportedly outside of the studio when the incident happened, while Usher was inside. New reports claim the duo survived a shooting and robbery outside a California studio.

However members of his entourage were fired on, and at least one bodyguard was pistol whipped by an attacker in broad daylight.

According to law enforcement, the victims said three suspects confronted them in the passage behind the studio and "demanded their money and jewellery".

Furthermore, it is believed, as per TMZ, that 'the suspect or suspects made off with a ton of cash and jewelry'.

Rich the Kid, a Queens-born rapper, dropped his debut album The World Is Yours a year ago. No one was shot or taken to the hospital.

Afterward, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies searched for suspects and collected evidence inside the building, and at nearby streets.

The gunman, who has not been identified, opened fire as he ran away from the studio.

A photo posted on Rich the Kid's Instagram account shows him earlier today walking with a pile of cash on his shoulder. "For motivational purposes only", he captioned it.

The famous studio has been home to recordings by artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Quincy Jones in the past.
