$250M Lawsuit: Devin Nunes Claims Twitter, Liz Mair, Impersonators Conspired Against Him

"Defendant, Devin Nunes' Mom, is a person who, with Twitter's consent, hijacked Nunes' name, falsely impersonated Nunes' mother, and created and maintained an account on Twitter (@DevinNunesMom) for the sole goal of attacking, defaming, disparaging and demeaning Nunes", the suit said.

According to Fox News, Nunes' complaint filed in Virginia state court Monday outlines a conspiracy orchestrated by Twitter to knowingly hinder his duties as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee by "facilitating defamation on its platform". The combination of the shadow-ban and Twitter's refusal to enforce its Terms and Rules in the face of clear and present abuse and hateful conduct caused Nunes to lose support amongst voters.

The complaint was filed by Representative Devin Nunes, an ally of President Donald Trump, in a Virginia state court, and released online by Fox News.

He alleges that the social media site did this purposefully to elevate the alleged defamatory statements made against him.

He says he has suffered "substantial insult, humiliation, embarrassment, pain, mental suffering and damage to his reputation" from the Twitter insults.

Accoring to Variety, Nunes vowed on Sean Hannity's Fox News show Monday night that many more suits are on the way.

The Twitter account @DevinNunesMom was suspended after Nunes' real mother complained, the complaint said.

She says: "They're not going to be in the goldfish bowl of Kensington Palace , it will be much harder to photograph them". The couples could still join forces for large things such as Heads Together, their mental health campaign.

"Among the false statements published by Mair... is that 'Nunes is still entangled with a winery implicated in a scandal involving his co-investors, cocaine and child prostitutes, '" the lawsuit says. The lawsuit calls for Twitter to reveal the hidden identities behind the anonymous accounts.

Nunes' attorneys claim Twitter played a key role in slowing his 2018 reelection campaign after winning by much more robust margins in previous reelection bids.

Devin Nunes, R-Calif., is suing Twitter and three account holders for negligence and defamation, alleging that the social media platform explicitly censors viewpoints it disagrees with.

While Nunes hopes his legal action will expose what he believes is a secretive campaign within Twitter to silence the voices of Twitter addicts on the political right, the 40-page complaint is also a greatest hits album of people making fun of the SoCal congresscritter.

The defamatory content cited by Nunes includes accusations that he worked with Russian Federation to "undermine American Democracy", that he took cocaine and hired underage prostitutes, as well as a host of lowbrow jokes about his sexuality.

The account also wrote about Nunes: "He's udder-ly worthless and its pasture time to move him to prison". But fear not, we will win anyway, just like we did before!
