Trump says he welcomes Russia, China ‘helping us’ on N. Korea

Trump says he welcomes Russia, China ‘helping us’ on N. Korea

The American lobby group National Rifle Association (NRA) has criticised the treaty, saying it amounts to worldwide gun control and is a threat to America's second amendment right to bear arms. The NRA has said the treaty undermines domestic gun rights in the past.

LaPierre wrote that he was warned on Wednesday that, unless he resigned, damaging allegations would be made to the board against him regarding sexual harassment of a staff member and "accusations of wardrobe expenses and excessive staff travel expenses".

North is aligned with the public relations firm - and at odds with LaPierre and some board members who believe the group's media operation and messaging have strayed too far from the NRA's original mission of gun safety and the outdoors.

The NRA has been beset by legal and financial challenges.

North said he accepted a salaried position with Ackerman McQueen, one of the NRA's most prominent outside contractors, as part of the agreement. The NRA is suing Ackerman McQueen for allegedly not being transparent in justifying its billings.

"We're taking our signature back", Trump said, according to a tweet from Jim Geraghty of the National Review.

Contributions to the NRA are lagging, The New York Times reports, and the organization is facing an increasingly well-financed opposition movement in the wake of several mass shootings.

Multiple board members in Indianapolis expressed to Breitbart News on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday that everyone agrees the organization must resolve this internal issue quickly because the NRA has an irreplaceable role to play in the 2020 election cycle.

North Korea's Kim arrives in Russian Federation before summit with Putin
Under Putin, Russia has attempted to disrupt US interests around the world, in countries including Syria, Ukraine, and Venezuela. In February, Kim's second summit with Trump in Hanoi ended without any agreement because of disputes over USA -led sanctions.

The advertising firm has been involved in a lawsuit with the NRA since April 12.

In a statement read to NRA members at the group's annual convention, North made it clear he was pushed out by the NRA's board of directors.

Given that the ATT called for heightened scrutiny of arms sales in cases where they "could be used to commit or facilitate serious violations of global humanitarian or human rights law, acts of terrorism, or transnational organized crime", ratifying it would likely have put the spotlight on the end users of American weapons worldwide.

Mike Cook, who works at a shipyard in Alabama, said he's been disappointed that gun rights haven't seen much movement under Mr Trump.

However, local Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America leader Kathy Parker says the NRA stands for gun sales and doesn't do anything to save lives. We will resist it.

"This is something that no administration has tried", the official said, adding: "But I would argue no administration has tried what (Trump) tried with North Korea for example".

He was convicted in 1989 of obstructing Congress during its investigation, destroying government documents and accepting an illegal gratuity. The convictions were later overturned.

Tom King, a board member from NY for more than a decade, called him "the single hardest-working individual that has done everything he can, dedicated his life to defending the Second Amendment".
