Nikola Jokic After Playing 65 Minutes In Game 3: 'I'm Feeling Good'

Nuggets center Nikola Jokic logged a grueling 65 minutes in Friday's quadruple-overtime loss to the Trail Blazers, the fourth-most in National Basketball Association playoff history and the most since 1953.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard (0) scores against the Denver Nuggets in the second half of game three of the second round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs at Moda Center.

In the end, Portland walked out with a win and took a 2-1 lead in the series. It took an MVP-level performance from him in the first round for Denver to skate by the San Antonio Spurs in seven games, and he was absolutely brilliant in a Game 1 win over the Blazers.

The series opener was a high-scoring affair as Denver cruised to a 121-113 victory behind Nikola Jokic's 37 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Lillard's floater with 31 seconds left gave Portland a 102-100 lead, before Barton's layup tied it. Al-Farouq Aminu missed a 3-pointer for Portland with 6.7 seconds to go.In the first overtime, McCollum's layup tied it at 109 with 8.7 seconds left and Jokic missed an off-balance 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Lakers Expected To Hire Tyronn Lue As Head Coach
Lue is a more proven head coach than Williams, who never won a playoff series when he was the New Orleans Pelicans' head coach from 2010-2015.

Portland hosts the Nuggets in Game 3 on Friday. Not to mention Harkless was initially listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain for Game 3. The Nuggets were misfiring from every distance as they fell 97-90 to the visiting Trail Blazers on Wednesday night, squaring the series at 1-1 heading into Friday night's Game 3 in Portland. We were just allowing the game to continue - both teams. "Too many second-chance points too many turnovers, that was the difference in the game", Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. "I don't think it's something that he prefers", Malone said. It was nearly like, when is this game going to end?

The Nuggets had taken exception to Kanter making contact with Denver forward Torrey Craig-dealing with a nasal contusion-in Game 2, even though Jokic clearly pushed Kanter into Craig.

Denver's backcourt were just five of 18 in the first half, including two of 11 from Jamal Murray, who would miss much of the fourth quarter while trying to loosen up his injured right thigh. Portland went into the break with just a 48-47 edge. Lillard played 58 minutes and totaled 28 points but it was Hood and McCollum who delivered the knockout blows for Portland. The clear mask he donned was from a previous injury.
